Affiliate Marketing Paid per Click

So you are looking for additional income and profits online in affiliate marketing. Your focus is particularly with PPC. What follows should help you on your way.

Pay per Click (PPC) is one of the most common ways of affiliate marketing, working through search engines as a powerful method of World Wide Web advertising. It accounts for $2 billion a year and is expected to jump to about 8 billion by 2008.

For the Advertiser

The search engines generate listings and sort them based on bid amounts that each website owner has said they would pay per click to that search engine. Site owners bid it out with other site owners to get higher rankings based on keywords or phrases.

This way, the highest bidder for particular keywords or phrases will be the first site in order. Then the second highest and so on... Your ads will rank based on the amount you bid to pay per click. Google AdWords is one example of this.

For the Affiliate Marketer

Unlike other affiliate marketing programs where a sale needs to be made or a proper lead given, with PPC, you simply get paid per click of the ad listing code that you put on your site from the search engines, showing the ads as they give them, such as when using Google ad sense. This can really add up, as you profit simply from your site visitors clicking the ad listings and going to the sites listed.

With PPC affiliate marketing, you have less concern over the advertisings, and more time to focus on what your site is about. The more visitors you have, the more that can possibly click the ad listings and you profit on each click.

Not only can you profit from those that like your site, it’s quite possible that you will also profit from one time visitors that can still visit the ad links and possibly never return to your site.

So with all this, for some it’s a matter of giving valuable information while getting paid as well. To others it may be a supplement to the income from their own sites income from direct sales. To yet others, it may be the key focus of their site. In the long run though, keeping people on your site, and having the PPC affiliate listings in there as well, will generate you a lot of income.

In the end, it allows you yet another way to find additional income from your website. Whether you are advertising, or showing the advertisements for someone else.
